The new regulations will help protect our farmers, consumers, and the environment from the risks associated with the improper use of agricultural chemicals,” the minister said. The bill’s approval will pave the way for the establishment of the Agricultural Services Regulatory and Inspection Agency, which will oversee the implementation of the new regulations.
This agency will be responsible for conducting inspections, ensuring compliance with safety standards, and providing guidance to farmers on best practices for the use of agricultural chemicals.
