Delivering the opening remarks, Eng. Mohamed Ahmed Mohamud, Rector of Jamhuuriya University of Science and Technology (JUST), underscored the importance of preparing the next generation of ICT professionals to support Somalia\u2019s digital future.<\/p>\n
\u201cPreparing the next generation of ICT professionals is essential for Somalia\u2019s digital future. Universities have a critical role in advancing IPv6 knowledge, research, and innovation, and in equipping students with the skills needed to support the country\u2019s digital transformation,\u201d he said.<\/p>\n
Speaking at the opening of the workshop, Mr. Mustafa Yasiin Sheikh, Director General of the National Communications Authority, reaffirmed the Authority\u2019s commitment to ensuring Somalia keeps pace with global technological developments through the implementation of IPv6.<\/p>\n
\u201cOur vision has always been to ensure that Somalia does not fall behind the global technological transition. Today, we are planning not only for current Internet needs but also for future generations, ensuring they have access to modern technologies and are prepared for the continued growth of the digital economy.<\/p>\n
